1. Classic Cardamom Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Kif Almosafer Cardamom Coffee
  • 1 cup water
  • Sugar to taste (optional)

Method:

  1. Boil the water in a traditional coffee pot (dallah) or saucepan.
  2. Add the cardamom coffee and simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Strain into small coffee cups and enjoy warm, traditionally served with dates.

2. Cardamom Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

  • 250g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 125g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125ml brewed Kif Almosafer Cardamom Coffee (cooled)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan) and grease a 20cm round cake tin.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Stir in the coffee and vanilla, then fold in the dry ingredients.
  5. Pour into the prepared tin and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool before serving.
